Mapo suits travelers who enjoy bookshops, cafés, cultural spaces and everyday markets. Spend longer in Hongdae or Mangwon rather than trying to cover every neighborhood.

Getting around

Hongik University station is a useful starting point for Hongdae and Gyeongui Line Book Street. Use local transit to reach Mangwon, or begin that part of the trip at Mangwon station. The Sangam parks are a separate outing.
